The Contemporary Art Festival – Ruse 2026 expands beyond the urban environment, reaching the village of Basarbovo with a special screening that connects contemporary art with the local cultural context.
On June 12 at 09:30 AM, the Community Centre “St. Dimitar Basarbovski 1902” will host a selection from the festival programme, including a video work by Lea Vidaković – an internationally recognized artist whose practice combines image, narrative, and visual poetry in a way that is both accessible and impactful.
The programme continues with a film dedicated to the Ruse painters of the Ruse School of Painting – offering a perspective on the local artistic tradition and its memory.
The event brings together different generations and artistic languages, opening a space for dialogue between the global and the local, between contemporary explorations and cultural heritage.
Free entry.
