Beyond the City: Video Art Comes to Nisovo
June 5, 09:30 AM
“Geo Milev” Community Center
The Festival of Contemporary Art – Ruse 2026 steps beyond the urban environment and reaches the village of Nisovo with a special screening that connects contemporary art with the local cultural context.
On June 5 at 09:30 AM, part of the festival’s program will be presented at the “Geo Milev” Community Center, including a video work from the project of Lea Vidaković — an internationally recognized artist whose work combines image, narrative, and visual poetry in a way that is accessible and engaging for a wide audience.
The program will be complemented by a film dedicated to the artists of the Ruse School of Painting — a bridge between contemporary art and the local artistic tradition.
The event creates a meeting point between different artistic languages and generations, highlighting the dialogue between the global and the local, between experiment and memory.
Free admission.
