How do you tell the story of a school that has no shared manifesto or unified style?
The exhibition seeks the answer in the environment that connects 23 distinct artistic worlds – Ruse, its cultural atmosphere, and the transformations that took place during the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Moving from the context of the city to each artist’s individual approach, the exhibition traces the emergence and development of one of the significant phenomena in Bulgarian art of the second half of the 20th century.
