Workshop with Martina Apostolova: Working in Front of Camera and Audience

30 May 2026, 10:00 a.m.
Ruse Art Gallery

Free admission

As part of the Contemporary Art Festival, the Ruse Art Gallery presents a hands-on workshop with theatre and film actress Martina Apostolova, focused on presence, confidence, and communication in front of the camera and a live audience.

Today, video format is an inseparable part of the contemporary cultural and social environment – from artistic projects and interviews to social media, presentations, and public appearances. Regardless of experience, many people feel anxiety, blocks, and lack of confidence when facing a camera or an audience.

The workshop will offer a series of practical exercises and approaches related to:

  • attention and presence work;
  • reaction and improvisation;
  • confidence in front of the camera;
  • communication with an audience;
  • overcoming stage fright.

The event is suitable for participants without professional experience, as well as for anyone interested in stage presence, visual media, and artistic communication.

Martina Apostolova is a theatre and film actress with many years of experience on the independent scene. She has taken part in numerous theatre, dance, and performance projects. She made her film debut in the leading role of Irena (dir. Nadejda Koseva, 2018), for which she received several international awards, including the European Shooting Star recognition at the Berlinale 2020.
