Project “New Energy” by Ema Yordanova and Martin Petrov

September 30 – October 30, 2025
Space “Basement” – Art Gallery – Ruse

Opening: September 30, 2025, 6:00 PM

The photo exhibition from the project “New Energy” presents the results of a series of creative interventions in the urban environment of Ruse. Artists Emma Yordanova and Martin Petrov, together with their young colleagues Daria Bratoeva and Mihaela Mladenova, transform electrical panels into colorful accents carrying new visual messages.

Since the objects are part of the urban infrastructure and cannot be physically transported to an exhibition space, it is photography that provides the opportunity to see them in their entirety and detail. The photo exhibition does not simply document the interventions, but expands and further disseminates the concept of the project, making it accessible to a wider audience.

The project aims to transform and enrich the exterior environment through artistic intervention on objects that usually go unnoticed or are perceived as unaesthetic. In this way, the New Energy project creates a basis for building higher aesthetic norms and stimulates the introduction of innovative artistic practices.

The initiative was implemented with the support of the Culture Program of the Municipality of Ruse and the ERP Sever.
