Screening of “SEWMAILERS” and Book Presentation at the Art Gallery – Ruse

A special screening of the film “SEWMAILERS” – one of the most sensitive and beloved works of Bulgarian cinema, created by director and writer Lyudmil Todorov, will take place at the Art Gallery – Ruse.

The event also includes the presentation of a new, personal book edition dedicated to the film – with the published original script and memories of its creation. This is an opportunity for the audience not only to relive the story, but also to peek behind the scenes of the creative process – with stories about the emotions, inspiration and generations associated with this film.

“SEWMAILERS” tells the story of three young women who left the countryside for the capital in search of work and meaning. This is a story about friendship and the first life choices, about growing up, dreams and disappointments – told with silence, warmth and human truth.

The event is part of the celebrations on the occasion of:
– 70 years since the birth of Lyudmil Todorov
– 50 years since his graduation from the English High School in Ruse
– Almost 20 years since the creation of the film “SEWMAILERS”
