Projection Outside the Gallery. Contemporary Art Festival – Ruse 2025

June 10, 2025, 9:00 PM
“St. St. Cyril and Methodius 1924” Community Center, Sredna Kula District, Ruse

Art Gallery – Ruse presents one of the most innovative and meaningful events within the framework of the first edition of the Contemporary Art Festival – Ruse 2025 – “Projection outside the gallery”. This is not just an open-air projection, but a conceptual act that challenges the established boundaries between space and cultural content. Through it, the gallery literally and symbolically comes out of its walls to meet people where they live – in the neighborhoods, on the street, in real life.

The event breaks the traditional model in which the audience must go to the institution to experience art. Instead, art comes to her – accessible, close and immediate, transforming the everyday urban environment into a stage for visual stories and artistic encounters. “Projection outside the gallery” is a gesture of openness, aimed at all residents of the city and an example of democratizing the cultural experience.

The program includes:

Films for the Art Gallery – Ruse and video impressions of Ruse artists

“Bollywood” – an author’s film by Georgi Ruzhev

“DISTURBIA” – an animated film by Maria Yankova

“The Lake” – an animated film by Boris Labe

Animation program for children

The screenings are realized with the assistance of Kinematograf and Arena Media, in partnership with the National Community “St. St. Cyril and Methodius 1924” and with the financial support of the “Culture” Program of the Municipality of Ruse.
