International Biennial Danibian

Art Gallery – Ruse started the new exhibition season of 2023 with the presentation of two exhibitions – the Sixth Edition of the International Biennale Danubian and the solo exhibition of Ioana Enescu Troika. Both exhibitions are curated by Dan Tudor Truika, Romania. The opening took place on January 17 (Tuesday), from 5:00 p.m.

The Danubian Biennale is a project born as a necessary, more complex and more selective continuation of similar events of previous years organized under the auspices of the TRUICART Events Brand in Romania and abroad. The exhibition includes works by 20 professional contemporary artists from Romania, Bulgaria, Spain and Greece.

Regardless of the approach adopted by the artists selected during this event, it demonstrates once again, beyond borders, the relevance and accuracy of a contemporary visual message linked to the latest European trends.

Ioana Trujka’s solo painting exhibition is entitled “Lizard”. It presents part of the author’s work in recent years. Included are figurative images of civilizations and people that the author knows or has only glimpsed in her many wonderful journeys along the spiritual meridians. Lizards occupy a special place in the artist’s work due to the many derivative families of lizards, and the diverse range of colours and shapes.

The exhibitions will be open to visitors from January 17 to 31.
