The photography exhibition Young Women in Science by Georgi Aleksiev presents portraits of young Bulgarian researchers working in various fields of contemporary science. Initiated by the Association of Young Scientists in Bulgaria, the project highlights the people behind scientific knowledge and research, drawing attention to their contribution to the advancement of science and innovation.
Photographed in their actual professional environments—laboratories, research institutes, and scientific centers—the women featured in the exhibition reveal not only the faces behind scientific achievements, but also the dedication, curiosity, and perseverance that define their professional journeys.
Through the language of photography, the exhibition creates a bridge between science and society, making visible the stories of young women scientists and their role in the development of knowledge and innovation.
