Nude Body Happening is a live public performance and one-day art exhibition that takes place on July 19, 2025, in front of the Ruse Art Gallery. This exciting event is part of the Ruse Contemporary Art Festival 2025 and brings together visual artists, performers, and the public to explore the nude body as a theme in contemporary art.
The concept behind Nude Body Happening was developed by Bulgarian artist G. Pamukov, who will lead the event along with a group of invited artists. These participants come from diverse generations and creative backgrounds and will spend four hours creating live artworks in response to the theme of the nude body.
During the happening, the artists will engage in drawing, painting, body installation, and spontaneous performance acts. These will culminate in a one-day exhibition—open until 20:00 the same day—that showcases the resulting pieces.
This is not just an art show— Nude Body Happening transforms the public space into a collaborative artistic platform. The nude body is not treated as provocation, but as a powerful symbol of vulnerability, identity, natural beauty, and artistic expression. Visitors are not just observers—they are encouraged to participate and interact with the creative process.
