Presentation of the Project “11 Famous Ruse Artists in the Digital World”
“11 Famous Ruse Artists in the Digital World”
Project of Persei Productions
31 October 6.00 pm
The transition to the digital age is transforming the way society communicates. It brings incredible opportunities, but also creates challenges. How they contribute to stimulating the interest of the modern public in the artists who worked in Ruse in the first half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century is presented by the project “11 famous Ruse artists in the digital world” of the production company “Persei”, financed by the “Program culture” of Ruse Municipality.
The result will present 11 audiovisual products dedicated to the 11 Ruse artists. The artists are Kiril Stanchev, Radi Nedelchev, Velimir Petrov, Fikret Islyamov, Petar Popov, Yordan Parashkevov, Marko Monev, Todor Filipov, Dimitar Khinkov, Tsvyatko Tsvetkov, and Nikifor Tsonev. The Ruse Art Gallery, the project’s main partner, provided over 110 of its works from the collection to be photographed. During the event, the team will present the audience with lesser-known facts and data from their life and work.
The videos will be posted on YouTube. The Internet platforms offer limitless potential, and the authors of the project are working to achieve several goals: to expand access to the creativity of Ruse’s leading authors; to elevate the profile of Ruse’s fine art and its contemporary artists, both nationally and in Europe; and last but not least, to provide cutting-edge methods of education and training in the field of culture to young people from Ruse.
