Art Gallery – Ruse opened the exhibition “Along the Danube from Oryahovo to Ruse”, presenting plein air works from the collection of the “Savchevi” Gallery.
The exhibition includes landscapes and portraits, executed in oil, acrylic and watercolor, as well as sculpture. These works were created within the framework of the plein airs, which began in 1986 in Oryahovo – initially organized by the Municipality of Oryahovo, and later continued by the “Savchevi” Gallery. For nearly four decades, established artists and young authors have been creating along the Danube. Meetings between generations lead to an exchange of ideas, experience and inspiration.
A central figure in this tradition is Neycho Savchev – a patron, host and organizer of dozens of plein airs, dedicated to the cause of transforming his native Oryahovo into a city of artists and leaving a cultural heritage for future generations.
