Shortly after the opening of the festival, Italian artist Isabella Rubino carried out a new stage of her project “Tik-Tac” in the courtyard of the Canetti House in Ruse.
The action took place outside the official program and without the presence of an audience, following the project’s core logic—interventions in abandoned or peripheral spaces through minimal yet persistent gestures. In this context, the artist performed an act of cleaning, temporarily activating the site without altering its essence.
The recorded video material is part of the evolving archive of “Tik-Tac” and will be edited by the artist before being added to the collection of the Ruse Art Gallery as a completed video work.
With this intervention, the project naturally aligns with the festival’s theme of space—not as a fixed environment, but as something that shifts through presence and attention.
And while within the festival spaces were opened and inhabited, here a place was encountered in silence. Briefly—seen, touched, cared for—and then left to exist again, carrying the trace of that presence.
