exhibition of student works
Art Gallery - Ruse and the Municipality of Ruse, in partnership with the "Otets Paisii" Primary School, the "Prof. Veselin Stoyanov" National Institute of Education, the "Nedka Ivan Lazarova" Clothing Department, the "Vazrazhdane" Secondary School and the "St. Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher" Secondary School, present the temporary exhibition "Valley of the Thracian Kings", created with the participation of students from the city.
The exhibition is part of the national initiative of the "Movement of the Enlighteners" association - Veliko Tarnovo, whose main goal is to include the Valley of the Thracian Kings in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The exhibition includes drawings, sculptures and short films inspired by the Thracian cultural heritage - one of the most significant and mystical treasures of Bulgaria.
The exhibition in Ruse is the culmination of a series of educational and artistic events held in various cities of the country since the beginning of 2025. The student works reflect the creative and contemporary view of the young artists on the topic of the Thracians, their rituals, symbols and architectural wonders.
The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of UNESCO, as well as to Bulgaria's upcoming hosting of the 47th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which will be held from 6 to 16 July 2025 in Paris. The forum will bring together over 4,000 delegates and guests from 150 countries.
The selected student works will also be presented in a joint exhibition in Paris during the forum, as a message from the younger generation about the importance of the Bulgarian cultural heritage.
