Daniel Dyankov at 60. Guest Prof. Emil Popov – Sculpture

May 29 – June 29, 2025
Daniel Dyankov’s anniversary exhibition presents the essence of his painting – plastically purified, philosophically focused, permeated by contemplation and symbolism. His works do not tell a story, but exist – in rhythm, in structure, in a state. Lines and fields, color vibrations and signs build spaces in which direct narrative is absent, but internal logic and discipline are present. His painting is a process of reduction to the essence – to the silence in which the image is born as a sign. The works do not seek effect, but create a place for concentration. The themes – existential, archetypal – are encoded in the compositional rigor and in the field of a minimalist gesture, in which every line has meaning. The image renounces flesh in order to reveal the structure of presence. The sculptures of Prof. Emil Popov create a spatial counterpoint to painting – monumental, clean, they concentrate the tension between matter and idea. His forms are inextricably linked to thinking about the body and the sign, about weight and transcendence. The dialogue between the two authors is measured, without ostentation. This is an exhibition about inner vision – about what is seen when the eye begins to listen.
