Video Program: Spaces of the Image

Within the framework of the festival theme “Space,” this video selection approaches space not as a background, but as an active system of mediation — between images, bodies, technologies, and memory. Here, video functions as an analytical tool that reveals how spaces of perception are constructed, dismantled, and rewritten within contemporary visual culture.

At the core of the program lies an understanding of the image as a space of instability — at once a material trace and a process of interpretation. Rather than offering fixed points of view, the selection creates a field of tensions in which different artistic practices explore how the visible is “produced”: through interfaces, through technological mediation, and through personal and collective memory.

In this context, “space” emerges as a variable structure — not only physical, but also media-based, social, and psychological. Some of the works focus on the interface as a zone of translation between realities, while others explore time as an expanded space in which experience is fragmented and rearranged.

In this way, video is positioned not as a carrier of a finished image, but as an environment in which images take place. The selection offers precisely this perspective — a space that is not simply inhabited, but constructed in the act of viewing.
