In the installation “Moon on the Sea,” Kaloyan Ivanov creates an environment that fully exists only through the presence and participation of the audience. Three strips of lycra, suspended from the ceiling, form a dynamic structure that changes its shape and tension according to the viewers’ interaction.

The work explores the idea of art as a living process rather than a static object. Touch, movement, and collaborative play between participants become essential to its existence. Each gesture leaves a temporary trace in space, and every interaction alters the way the installation appears and is experienced.

“Moon on the Sea” places emphasis on communication between people—on shared action, coordination, and improvisation. The work activates a sense of community and reminds us that art can be a space for encounter, play, and the collective creation of experience.
